Making things happen

Building positive relationships and meaningful connections for successful projects

What I do:

What I do -

Let me take the stress out of making your important day work. Whether it's a 3 day conference, weekend hackathon, team strategy day, or something else totally bespoke, I can make your idea come to life.

Designing and delivering epic events, workshops, and conferences
Project management and consultancy

Working alongside you with advice and practical support to help you get your ideas and projects off the ground. Whether it's a collaborative report, community consultation, developing your team and offices or something else, I can help you make your ideas a reality.

With a background working in higher education, I specialise in supporting knowledge exchange, impact, and placemaking initiatives. This looks like working together with you to identify opportunities, to exchange ideas and expertise, and deliver mutual benefits to everyone involved.

Helping you to find greater self-awareness, renewed energy and motivation, and a better sense of purpose. I do this by creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative space, bringing meaningful questions, and providing gentle accountability to get you where you want to be.

New publication

I recently worked with the National Centre for Academic and Cultural Exchange (NCACE) to develop a publication exploring ethics and care in cultural knowledge exchange.

"Careful Collaborations: Ethics and Care In Cultural Knowledge Exchange and Trans-Disciplinary Research" explores the ethical considerations that are essential to fostering equitable, respectful, and productive collaborations between higher education and the arts and cultural sector.

This project draws on the extensive collection of resources collected by NCACE over the past three years, and also runs parallel to much of the related activity and thinking in this space. It pulls together a rich and diverse set of reflections, projects, and a collection of essays by contributors.

“It was really positive working with Emily, she has a really great attitude and positive energy as well as being organised and self motivated.” - Suzie, NCACE

What people say

“Emily takes the scary outta running events, and makes them even better than you imagined.” - Tony
“Emily is able to manage multiple, complex tasks, including the delivery of national scale conferences, marketing strategies and weekend-long events, with ease - which is testimony to her fantastic organisational and people skills.” - Katie
"From the perspective of a facilitator who has worked with over 80 organising teams around the world on similar events, working with Emily was very easy and it allowed me to be at my best." - Roger, Techstars
